The/La Canadian Classroom on Rails with Arctic Overview / Salle de Class Ferroviare Canadienne avec Survol Arctique exists:

To bring together a quality group of young people representing the spectrum of national life, sharing a sense of vocation and capable of providing leadership to renew Canadian citizenship and Confederation

To offer an intensive and balanced curriculum vitae exposing them to the breadth and scope of kanata, the forces and influences, individuals, communities and institutions that shaped it and affect its evolution

To be the model of a bilingual, diverse, harmonious community in the relationships, activities and undertakings during a shared cross country voyage and in their continuing connections with one another afterward

To articulate, internalize and express these values in a variety of media during the voyage together, in preparatory study and in a project that each undertakes and brings to completion in the following months

To present this model and vision, these values and possibilities en route, to the communities through which they pass and in which they visit, and in the local, working and learning communities afterward

To build and to be the nucleus of a more cohesive and durable Kanata that embodies the meaning of its name as a Meeting Place, and that demonstrates a voluntary dominion of spirit that offers hope, promise and possibility to their fellow peoples of the world and to humankind

rassembler un groupe de jeunes de qualité qui représentent la gamme de la vie nationale, partagent un sens de vocation et sont capable de donner direction à renouveler la citoyenneté et la confédération canadiennes

offrir un curriculum vitae intensif et équilibré qui les exposent à l’énormité du kanata, aux forces et aux influences, individus, communautés et institutions qui l’ont formé et conditionné son évolution

être modèle d’une communauté bilingue, diverse et harmonieuse en ce qui concerne les relations interpersonnelles, activités et tâches entreprises durant le voyage and dans les contacts les uns aux autres ensuite

articuler, internaliser et exprimer ces valeurs en variété des média en voyage ensemble, aux études préparatoires et dans un projet choisi, entreprit et accompli dans les mois suivants
